PPPshar is not required inorder to use "Connect and Shar". You can use any Internet sharing software or proxy server and still use "Connect and Shar".

• Control the modem from any machine. Allows you to connect or disconnect the modem from any machine on the network.

Connect and Shar is a tiny client/server application - server is installed in the gateway computer and the client is installed in the client computers.
